The modern global game of Football first started in 1863 in London.. The English introduced football into France in 1863, forming their first club.

The first official  international match which is recognised by FIFA was played between Scotland and England on November 30 1872.. This competition was played under the Football Association rules. The following year England became the first team in the world to win an international football match when they beat Scotland in London..

The formation of the Football League was inducted in 1888 by Aston Villa director William McGregor. there were twelve fouder members. They consisted of six from Lancashire ;Blackburn Rovers, Burnley, Bolton Wanderers, Accrington, Everton and Preston North End and six from the Midlands; Derby County, Notts County, Stoke, West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers who took part in it.

manchester was the top team of England. In1904 it won the FA Cup. Further domination of the game came with Liverpool, who won two league awards in 1901 and 1906, and Everton, who won the FA Cup in 1906. Arsenal won two more titles and the FA cup in1953 but could not keep the pace afterwards for nearly two decades.. Liverpool after success a title also suffered the same as Arsenal. Manchester came again and won the legue title in 1952,1956 and 1957. In 1958 the Munich air disaster killed eight players .

After 26 years Manchester won the premiership league and went on to influenced the English football in 1990. They won many matches this year.Manchester United’s outstanding successwin has continued. Arsenal won a third Double in 2002 and won the title in 2004.. It did not lost a single league game through out the season. United, still managed to win another FA Cup in 2004 and the League Cup in 2006. United also won the league trophy in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2007. Manchester United gained a comfortable position at the top of the Premiership, with Chelsea as the contender.. Liverpool,Arsenal and Everton contended similarly for the European positions.

The England team is governed by FA. It is the national team.The English national team during this period played in a rough road to their success. England team is in top 20 countries. They could not achieve success. They played upto quarter finals.They failed to qualify for the 1994 World Cup but reached the semi-finals in Euro 96 and lost on penalties to Germany at the semi-finals.  In 1998 they were automatically qualified.The dominating was marked with little success, with England did not succeed to qualify for the 2008 European Championships. 2010 sees the FIFA World Cup, get ready for the biggest sporting event and hopefully enjoy!
