Indonesian taekwondo team expected to grab medals in Asian Games
Indonesia’s Minister for Youth and Sport Andi Mallarangeng said that he was hoping the country’s taekwondo team could seize medals at the upcoming Asian Games 2010 in China’s Guangzhou even though it has to face strong teams, including from South Korea, Antara News Agency reported on Friday.
“This is the time for Indonesian athletes to grab medals in Asian Games, a bigger event than SEA Games where we have a tradition to grab gold,” said Mallarangeng.
He said that with strong relation with South Korea, the origin country of the sport, taekwondo breeding in Indonesia is expected to be better and could seize international achievements.
